Back on day 2, I wrote a post about why I blog and I received a comment from Amanda at Why I Blog. It's really neat because if you take a look at her blog, you can read about all of the different reasons why people blog and put their life out on the internet.
She told me that if I was interested, I could submit my post to her site and so I did. I thought that it would be one more avenue for me to show people that Down Syndrome is not a scary place.
Check it out here! There is a link if you are interested to submit YOUR story!
I participate in the 31 for 21 challenge because I want to show the normal every day life about someone living with Down Syndrome and how one little extra chromosome doesn't define them. I constantly use Colin as example in my classes with my students, I plunge in the middle of the winter in the 30 degree ocean, have fundraisers, submit my story, participate in photo contests, etc. because I want people to see that Down Syndrome is beautiful.
That's why I blog.
Thanks Amanda for putting our story on your blog!!

Thank you Kelli! One extra avenue to spread the awareness of Down syndrome can go so far on the Internet. Have a great weekend :)
