He asked to finish the drive to D.C., but we were a little wary about that...
When we got to our hotel, Colin was so excited to try out Mommy and Daddy's king sized bed!
We had some family bonding time......and then the boys relaxed for a little while (including the giraffe!).After lunch, we went out on the town checking out the Smithsonian Museum of American History and the Washington Monument. Colin actually tolerated his hat, slept through the museum, and got a one-eyed glimpse of the Washington Monument. We went back to the hotel and Colin ate his dinner and got into his pajamas. We were going to go out to dinner and then walk around the rest of the monuments at night, but unfortunately, we only made it about 3 blocks before it started pouring and we had to sprint back to the hotel. Colin was the most protected, but still got a little wet. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel while Colin slept.
The next morning, we all slept in a little bit and had breakfast at the hotel. Colin could hardly contain himself when he found out we were going to the zoo!Colin ate his lunch in the panda's area, saw the baby gorilla (she was 3 months older than him), and slept again.
We had a great time at the zoo! Colin made it all the way home until he ate his dinner (around 6:30pm). He was so perfect and we had a great family weekend together!
