My Poor Baby

I should have known something was amiss this morning when Colin slept in a little bit later than normal. I went in there to get him and he was smiles like normal, but when I asked to take him out of the crib he said "no". I gave him some time and came back and took him out. From that moment on, he pretty much cried for over an hour straight. Unfortunately, it wasn't just normal crying, it was alternating crying/screaming as he rolled his little body on the floor with what seemed like writhing in pain. He wanted to be held a lot (which made me feel good that he did want me to comfort him) but couldn't seem to find a comfortable position. I gave him some ibuprofen because he was warm and he finally stopped crying long enough to eat some breakfast. I'm guessing it has something to do with his teeth since his hands have been in his mouth constantly and the drool was literally dripping out of his mouth. Since then, this is the scene in my house...

I have NEVER seen him sit still long enough to lay on the couch, but he hasn't moved in the past 30 minutes. I guess this is just what the doctor ordered...loving from Mommy, lots of Mickey Mouse episodes, and rest.

=( Sweet little boy - feel better soon!
My husband loves it when the kids are like that -- not that he wants them to be sick -- but he loves the cuddle time with them.

Ohhhh, seeing him lying on the couch like that is so heartbreaking!!! That's how I know Sammi's sick, too, when she lies still on the couch or asks to lie in her bed. :-( I hope it's just his teeth (don't be jealous, but I'm about to put up a blog post tomorrow about how Samantha never had any teething issues...LOL), and that he feels better soon! Glad he ate breakfast, though.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Oh, my LORD. Never, NEVER let him know the power that poor pathetic boy has over me. I'm not joking. He would merely have to say/sign/grunt the word and it would be his. That's a dangerous weakness I've got. Bless his tooth-tortured little heart.
