"Go Away"

For the past few days, Colin has been wandering into our bedroom where we have a mirror that is free-standing since coming off of our door. He has been plopping himself in front of the mirror and having conversations as well as singing songs. Yesterday, every time I would open the door, he would say "no", something else, and then shut the door in my face. I was flash forwarding to his teenage years when I would picture him telling me to go away...lol. Scary. I caught him again today, although he was allowing me to video through a crack in the door. I'm not sure what he's saying, but it's funny nonetheless.

Later on, him and I were singing songs in the mirror and he just cracks me up. I think he is so darn cute. If only sophisticated babble translated easily into words I could understand! He is well on his way to talking, especially with the tone and inflections he adds to whatever it is he saying.

Oh, and one last cute thing...his new word is "ouch". He enunciates every part of that word and it is adorable!

Such a cutie, and so happy. My oldest grandson is now 8 but I remember when he was about2 and loved to stand in front of a full length mirror and sign and dance. It was so cute.
I also have a 15 month old grandson and he has Down Syndrome, he reminds us of Colin, so funny and happy. He is such an absolute sweetie. When he holds his arms out to me to pick him up, my heart melts. Thanks for sharing your good and difficult times w/us...it is helpful and entertaining

He is just too cute!! I love his little voice!! And I'm sure his "ouch" is just as cute as his solid "no!". Goodness, I love it!

LOVE him! This was exactly the way to start off my morning, as I sit here in a quiet house (everyone else is still sleeping) drinking my coffee. :-) Having a mirror for kids to talk to is soooo good for speech development! He's completely on his way. Oh, he is sooooo adorable...
