Cheers!

In Irish tradition, when someone says "Slainte!", pronounced 'Slawn-cha' it literally translates to cheers meaning health! While we didn't have anything official to celebrate tonight, we enjoyed a night out with just the four of us at Olive Garden. We said a cheers to good health and happiness and each other...(sorry about the small picture size, I can't figure out to have a normal picture from an iphone).

Our friend Deanna over at Everything and Nothing from Essex did this post about being out celebrating her birthday and being thankful for her daughter and all of the blessings that she has had over the past year. That post has stuck in my head since the day I read it and I had one of those moments she was describing in that post tonight. I was so proud to be out with my family, for the fact that we are happy and healthy, for the fact that the kids were so good and Colin was so happy and ate like such a big boy, drank chocolate milk like a big boy and used the crayons to color the right way. In fact, he was so proud of himself!

Things aren't always easy, and we have our struggles on a daily basis, but it's ok to be frustrated and discouraged, as long as you can stop for minute and enjoy all of those good little moments too. Tonight, I enjoyed being out with my family and I was proud of all of us.

Because we are happy, we are healthy, and we are in love...

Cheers!!

So glad you wasted NO time switching gears and rallying back ENJOYING all the good stuff. I sure hope Colin's giant smiles and fun night out didn't turn to a bunch of "nopes" at bath time (his NOPES still makes me smile- so cute-espeically when I am not the one seeking cooperation)...Your "dirty" little boy was sporting some might BIG smiles! Here's to many more happy "date" nights for 4! Hugs - Randy
