Changes

There have been a lot of changes going on in our house right now and most of them surround all of Colin's latest accomplishments. Although we don't have the new baby yet, which will be our biggest change of them all, we are basking in the good things that have been happening around here. While I was uploading the pictures, I was thinking about some things...

We are so proud of the little changes we see in Colin on a regular basis. There are always times when I notice how things are different when comparing him to his peers (which I never intentially do) that might get me a tad bit down, however, I am so proud of myself for how far we have come. Colin works so hard every day to accomplish things that you watch "typical" children accomplish so easily and it's exciting to watch these changes happen, no matter when they happen. Chris and I were talking this morning how much his communication has changed and although it's not where most children his age would be, he is communicated and picking up new sounds, words, and signs on a daily basis...We couldn't be more proud!

Just some things that have been going on around here...

Colin loves his daddy...they have so much fun playing together ALWAYS...

Colin got his haircut and I just love how cute he looks with the new "do"...so handsome! (When I tell him how handsome he looks he gets this flirty look that is so adorable and only for Mommy)
In our family room, the big chair is on a corner next to the end of the couch. Somehow, while playing with Chris, Colin crawled through the crack to get to his toys that were behind the chair and got stuck...when he decided he wanted to come back, he couldn't and was not happy. It was so funny!!

Chris taught Colin to be "strong", so this is a short clip of him showing how strong he is...

...and it's amazing how fascinating one little twizzler can be to an almost 2 year old! He won't eat it or put it in his mouth, but hey, at least he will play with it!

Since spring is starting to show it's good side lately, Colin and I decided to pass the time and play out back this afternoon. I just LOVE watching Colin crawl the correct way...i think it's the cutest thing...

Practicing the fine motor skills...(which have been improving when it comes to the pincer grip!)

Although this isn't the best video of it, Colin is starting to be incredibly tolerant of practicing walking. There are still times will he will just pick up his legs in disinterest, but he is so proud of himself when walking now. I love watching his little legs learn how to move and walk...

So many fun and exciting things around here to be happy about. We still get frustrated with the feeding issues, but we will be getting a feeding assessment done at the end of the month so hopefully we will get some help with that area. We also have scheduled for the next few months an ENT, endocrinologist, orthodics, and circumcision revision appointments. We will be busy!

Loved this post! Colin is so adorable! His babbling with the Twizzler sounded just like Sweet Pea. I am amazed at his true crawl as we don't think we will ever see that. And super impressed with the progress he is making in the walking department! Way to go Colin!!!!

I hope your biggest change doesn't wait too much longer for your sake!

So cute. Max wouldn't (and still doesn't) walk if we were holding him up like that either. He had to do it on his own, little stinker.

It seems like he is getting bigger by the day...I'd say cuter too but I'm not sure that's possible! He melts my heart! I love how "strong" he is! LOL He is making great progress and it is so fun to watch! Wait until you pick him up for the first time after holding the new baby, he's going to feel huge!
